Starting the trip to Manado, renowned for its world-class diving destinations, offering variation that fit divers of all interest and levels. Dive sites ranging from dramatic wall dives with an array of species, from sea turtles and reef sharks to colourful fish to volcanic muck diving sites that offers you a close-up encounters with rare critters like mimic octopuses, frogfish, and vibrant nudibranchs. Below will be the draft itinerary when you are onboard of Damai:

Day 1: Arrive into Manado

The flight usually arrives in Manado in the morning and you will go directly to Damai and make yourselves comfortable. You can complete a check out dive today depending on how you feel. We'll let you decide.

Day 2: Bangka

Large amount of dive sites to choose from around the island. Soft corals, big schools fish – snappers,
fusiliers, surgeonfish, black tip, grey reef, many different nudibranchs., among its signature sites we
find large pinnacle just sticking out from the surface with excellent soft corals. Big schools of yellow
snappers, fusiliers, sweetlips.

The sandy bottom around pinnacle that are great for hunting for special macro critters in the reef:
such as pontohi and bargibanti pygmy, ornate ghost pipefish. If lucky can find dugong in this area

Day 3: Siau

Siau Island: Volcanic island between North Sulawesi and South of Philippines. Sometimes when diving around Siau island divers are confused by loud booming sounds underwater, this is not dynamite fishing as many first think, but actually the volcano! Siau also has hot springs, which we can visit after first or second dive. These are small rocky bays on the north west of Siau island with hot water and smoke rising from the sand around the bays.

Palau Kelapa is a must! With just the right amount of current you can enjoy schooling jacks, barracuda, grey
reef, schooling sweet lips. Beautiful mini wall with soft corals, large barrel sponges, black coral bushes.

Day 4: Mahegentang

The other Underwater Volcano. We look for bubbles coming out from the heart of mother earth into the blue
through the sulfur color rock and sandy bottom; we will dive among big black coral bushes, surrounded by
gigantic barrel sponges, and where the current meet the underwater bommies, we will find a remarkable
amount if fish life: barracudas, tuna, GTs, Batfish, Big Eye Trevally.

Day 5: Nenung

Around the island there are many pinnacles – some that break the surface, some below forming magnificent
labyrinth-like topography for us to explore. Soft corals, fans, schooling barracuda, yellow snappers, batfish .
and If we’re really lucky can see some bigger sharks.

Day 6: Siau and Mahoro

Back to Pulau Kelapa to dive again at one of our favorite sites in the area to move afterwards towards Mahoro with its combination of Slope & Pinnacles covered in corals, both; hard and soft. Mahoro Pinnacle rising up from the sandy bottom to approx. 10m at the top hosts schooling barracuda, jacks, and hidden inside cavities, giant groupers. Macro lovers will also be entertained here with pygmy seahorses, leaf scorpionfish and a large variety of nudibranchs.

Day 7: Bangka

Large amount of dive sites to choose from around the island. Soft corals, big schools fish – snappers,
fusiliers, surgeonfish, black tip, grey reef, many different nudibranchs., among its signature sites we

snappers, fusiliers, sweetlips.

Day 8: Lembeh

The cradle of muck diving. Full day of muck diving at it’s best looking for all the weird and wonderful critters
such as Bobbitt worm, mimic octopus, ghost pipefish, coconut octopus, frogfish, hairy shrimp, flamboyant
cuttlefish, special gobies etc etc.

Day 9 and 10: Bunaken

A National Park since 1991, Bunaken is Famous for its wall diving and good visibility, beautiful sea fans, caves, sponges filling its dramatic drop offs. We will do drift dives looking for turtles, some reef sharks,
bumped parrotfishes.

Macro enthusiasts can enjoy critter spotting such as Harlequin Shrimp, Ornate Ghost Pipefish and an array of shrimps and crabs.

Day 11: Siladen

A perfect way to end the trip among the healthy reefs of Siladen, Colorful reefs mixing hard and soft corals,
with Damsel, Butterfly, Anthias, Bannerfish wondering among reef shark and a large population of grren
turtles.

Day 12: Departure

Guests will be escorted to the airport in Manado and assisted with check in procedures, no doubt full of talk about the wonders of the most popular dive destination in the world.

DISCLAIMERS

The trip will be weather dependent and there might be long crossing required throughout. We will, try to adjust the best we can to the conditions and fulfil all itinerary briefed when you’re on the boat.

Due to the need to report to the local village, divers will need to be flexible with the start time of the first dive at some of the dive sites. We will ensure that you’re given timely update on this during the trip, however your understanding on last minute changes would be appreciate. This is because divers are only allowed in the water once permission is granted by the local villages and officers.

Damai are flexible to change itinerary suggested based on customer’s preference in the event that weather and time allow us to do so and if changes is agreeable by all participants on board

Cabin 7

This cabin of 15 sq meters / 161 sq feet size, can be configured with a king double (220cm x 200cm / 7.2 feet x 6.56 feet) or twin beds (110cm x 200cm / 3.6 feet x 6.56 feet each). In the cabin, there is a desk, in-room sink unit and en-suite combined toilet and shower facilities. Its fully air conditioned and is located on the upper deck with direct access to the sun decks.
